IELTS Overview
International English Language Testing System is a standardized test, which is available in academic and general. The academic module is required for those who want to enroll in foreign universities. The score or band ranges from 0-9 (0.5 increment). The scores are valid for two years. The scores are used by educational institutes, government bodies, employers, and so on.

There are two different IELTS modules: Academic and General Training. The Speaking and Listening tests are the same in both modules, however the Reading and Writing sections are different |
